- If there were campaign promises that President-elect Obama made that you did not like, you probably want to oppose them and prevent them from becoming reality / policy. When it comes to such promises, it is reasonable that you do not want to give him a chance to do this.
- If there were campaign promises President-elect Obama made, and which he appears to be working toward, you probably want to see those promises now become laws / policy. It is reasonable to give him a chance to do this.
- If there were campaign promises you liked from Obama, but which he does not seem to be acting upon, it is reasonable to push him to make those promises a reality rather than just “giving him a chance.”
