Could you tell me how that is a lie? If you watch the Youtube (which I provide on my post) McCain argues that the courts ruled that s if it favors his point of view.
What you have here is a sin of omission. Leaving out, “The courts have said…” changes the context of what McCain is saying considerably. Yes he’s an authoritarian dweeb basking in the glow of having the courts endorse one of his more toxic and anticonstitutional position, but he is arguing about legal climate at that point, and the omission obscures that fact. Why not use the full quote? It’s more honest, and just as damning to McCain’s anti free speech positions.
